The Local Authorities are increasingly faced with many challenges at local level as service providers to the communities, as an employer and as potential partners for development, which is aimed at addressing socio-economic development issues such as reducing poverty by creation of employment opportunities, create tourism attraction and investment opportunities for potential investors.

ALAN's Web site has been developed to cover all the information pertaining to the local authorities and their capabilities to provide enabling environment and information for possible decentralized cooperation, public private partnerships (PPP), public partnerships aimed at local economic development (LED) for local authorities in their mission to improve the living standards of our people at local level. It is indeed our pleasure to introduce comprehensive information and various services and activities we provide to our member municipalities in our contribution to address crucial municipal issues for development.
